APMG Change Management Practitioner

Lead Lasting Organisational Change with the APMG Change Management Practitioner Certification

The APMG Change Management Practitioner course builds on the Foundation level to develop your ability to apply change management principles in real-world scenarios. Through case-study-driven learning, you’ll gain the practical skills needed to plan, implement and sustain meaningful change across an organisation – from initial impact assessment through to embedding new ways of working.

Based on the Change Management Body of Knowledge, this Practitioner-level qualification is recognised internationally and demonstrates that you can tailor change approaches to suit different organisational contexts, overcome resistance and engage stakeholders at every level.

What You’ll Learn

  • Assess organisational culture, readiness and capacity for change using established diagnostic frameworks
  • Evaluate the scope and severity of change impacts on people, processes and systems
  • Identify the root causes of resistance and apply targeted strategies to address them
  • Use “levers of change” – including leadership alignment, communication and training – to build momentum
  • Understand human responses to change, drawing on insights from behavioural science and neuroscience
  • Define and activate the roles of sponsors, change agents, line managers and change managers
  • Recognise and achieve “critical mass” to sustain transformation beyond the project phase
  • Apply constructive approaches to managing conflict and competing priorities during change
