Lead retail operations with confidence and competence
The Occupational Certificate: Retail Chain Store Manager (SAQA ID 103150) is a QCTO-registered qualification at NQF Level 5 that prepares learners to manage the full scope of operations within a retail chain store. From leading teams and maintaining service excellence to overseeing stock control and driving financial performance, this programme develops the well-rounded management competencies that the wholesale and retail sector demands.
This comprehensive 106-credit qualification addresses a critical need in South Africa’s retail industry for competent store managers who can balance people management, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and commercial results. The programme combines knowledge modules, practical skills training and structured workplace experience to produce managers who are ready to take ownership of a store’s day-to-day operations and long-term performance.
Graduates of this qualification may progress to higher-level credentials such as the Occupational Certificate: Facilities Manager (NQF Level 6) or specialise in supply chain, merchandising or operations management. The programme culminates in an External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) administered by the QCTO’s Assessment Quality Partner, the W&RSETA.
